Session 2: Online Instruction Evaluation Rubrics

Write a report comparing and contrasting the e-learning standards and rubrics for evaluating online courses. The education process require alot of process and new technology.
The three rubrics are design by expert in technolog field one of the element that needed in the education process is adding technology especially create and develop an online classes that’s not contain the traditional face to face communication by using high technology but all these need to have a technical support to make sure that our class will not have any problem and communicate with other student and teacher to get there feedback in order to deliver an online class we have to providing good instruction, Although the proficiently provide a high quality standard to fallow in order to make the class become better :

the first one was design by Quality Matters Program(QM).
2.
The second was design by Blackboard Exemplary Course Program (ECP).
3.
The third was design by California State University at Chino (CSU).

The Quality Matters Program (QM)
Develop and evaluate the quality of the online course and student learning sucsess it contain an 8 General Standard and the ninth one was optional stander:
1-The first General Standard Make the course clear to student so they know from where to begin and give a brief description about the course , the way of communication through the course , provide stander of the academic rule, know the teacher expectation about the student technology skills.
2-The second General Standard Learning objective and provide student with clear information to support student to give their best in the course by meet the stander of the course and match student perspective.
3-The third General Standard Assessment and Measurement course should be grated upon the policy that been given to student. And evaluate the course effectively
4-The fourth General Standard Resources and Materials
The course material should be updated
5-The fifth General Standard Learner Engagement . by design a good interaction between the teacher and student and between student and the course to reach the goal of the online course and make sure the course is a high quality course that match student need
Provide a high quality course making the education process more easy to understand and deliver.
6-The 6th General Standard Course Technology the tools had been use make the learning process more hyper and support student engagement to become success and navigation through the course
7-The seventh General Standard Learner Support by providing good article and link and good question
8-The eighth General Standard8 Accessibility by provide face to face communication and make sure the course work very well

All these courses should deal with(subject matter standards) in order to be a good courses to deliver
Blackboard Exemplary Course Program (ECP) .
it has four elements witch are

1-Course design: Goals and objective,content presetation, learner engagemnt,technology use ,
2-nteraction and collaboration :communication strategies,development learning community,interaction logistics.
3-Assessment:Expectations,assessment design, self assessment.
4-Leaner support: orientation to course and cms ,supportive software(pluging),instrutor role and information,course interaction al policies and support, technical accessibility issues,accommodation for disabilities,feedback.
in the Blackboard Exemplary Course Program Rubric the instructors and course designers are the main categorye because they are the only one can evaluate there work for online class and the how there Course
The important of using rubric in blackboard it contain performance ratings are Exemplary, Accomplished, Promising, and Incomplete. Detailed feedback on expectations the needed to meet to achieve a specific rating for each component in the course is provided)
 (The ECP Rubric make course designers and instructors to be better to evaluate there quality of their own work. It provides detailed information about areas of strengths and areas of their course in need of improvement.)
 (The ECP Rubric allows assessment of online and hybrid/blended courses (those which have online and face-to-face components) to be more objective and consistent. An increased focus on student learning outcomes demands development of high quality courses whether they are fully online, or have online components.)
 (The ECP Rubric reduces the amount of time it takes to assess the quality and completeness of a course. This is especially helpful if you are using the rubric to assess the courses across a program of study or the work of multiple course developers.”)

The different and similarities between the three rubric in QM,ECP and CSU chino are
In the first one the Quality Matters Rubric (QM) providing eight standers the one number 9 stander was optional all these stander was develop inorder to evaluate the quality of online class instruction and material . The second one is Blackboard Exemplary Course Program (ECP)has give four elements and it allow the course designers and instructors to improved them self by do self evauation and by modify the quality of the course that they are work in and it has.
The third one is California State University at Chino (CSUc) it has six elements. The website that provide online courses the instructors and designer to do more reserch on using rubric for there online class have to add the different kind of mechanism of the rubric in his course and use. and has self-evaluation" tool .

The QM and CSUC has modify the general online standard but ECP does not design as a clear organized elements.
(QM) give the meaning of the concept of Alignment in there rubric and some definition but ECP and CSUC does not contain deferent definition.
The main stander was in the QM is the instructor has to make the course and Learning objectives clear to their student but in the ECP and CSUC make the objectives is not consider as main priority but in ECP The objective standard was under the course design element . In CSUC the objective was under the Instructional Design and Delivery element .
My plan to begin develop my online class stander in order to deliver it to my student :


I have to go over my course many time and send it to an expert in online field and try to test my course element before beginning my class and do a sample test to make sure my class will work very well and do a short survey or check list to improve my class so it can match my student need
1. I have to be clear on design my objective in my online class and i have to bracket down to goals .
2. I have to choose a good quality information for my content in my online class.
3. Provide a good links that has high quality form , document and clear picture
4. Supported different kind of interaction between the instruction - student, by e mail, blog and shat program. student-content, blackboard . and student –student. blog
