When will you start your delivery?
Learning a new language is interesting topic to explore. I will deliver my online course which is EDUC 102 Arabic Language art session 3 on 3/20/2011. This course is offered as an elective at the university. The course is going to be totally online course. This is a 5 week course. This course will be as elective course in the language department..This course is design for freshman student at the university. this course can be taken by many student from different places and country at the same time so in this class student can shared their information and support each other work .I will conduct all the course document ,assignment ,schedule ,syllabus and course link in my backboard at the university web site.
b. What will your delivery consist of?
On this course Arabic language art class
1-provide student with clear orientation at the beginning of the course
2-Encourage student to communicate with course content through online discussion by Provide student with good topic
3-This course will teach student how to create technology skills which is blog and use it to post all their assignments and comment on each other work.
4-Teach student to explore new information by using Google and some of online research tools.
When will you deliver the activities in (b) above? What will be the duration of the activities?
I will deliver the activity for my good start course on 3/20/2011 to three American students who are study at business department. This assignments will take four days and end on 3/24/2011 . The course is depending on the course instruction and self based

Student will be able to Wright the Arabic alphabet by doing some writing activity
Student will be able to pronounce some Arabic alphabet by recording there voice and attach it
Student will be able to count by using Arabic numbers from 1-9.
student will be able to execise some arabic words and know their definitions.
Course activity:
The activities that related to the course session 3 objective. The student has to login to the course document and download the course assignments. Start to work on the course writing exercise and a counting activity . Student will post their assignments on their blog and send the URL to the instructor as E- mail to review it. The student will share their experience and Wright comment on each other blog

b. How will you know if your “Start” is good?
I will evaluate my good start martial based on the student work achievement of this session . I will go over the student hand writing and splinting recording activity if they did what I asked perfectly. then I will give them the grade based on the quality of their work and I will give extra point to the student who chare there assignments with class mate before due date in their blog and send me the link of the assignment, i will grate their work and send their grade by E- mail so the student can fix the error and resend his assignment to get better grades. I will make my student do a short survey on how to improve my course work

ReplyDeleteWow, this sounds like an ambitious project....teaching someone a forign language such as Arabic. I would love to take this course.
As for your course objectives, I especially like number 3 about having your students learn how to se an arabic dictionary. Maybe you can be more specific with this objective. Something like: "Students will know how to use efficiently use an Arabic dictionary and flly understand each component of the dictionary." I think that something like this is more clear and specific abot what your students are expected to do. The way your objective is currently written, it ssasys that they will LEARN to use the dictionary, bt it doesn't provide any clear expectations or proof of how this "learning" will be measured.
Great startso far. Just keep in mind that the clearer yor objectives the more your students will understand what is expected of them and the "easier" it is for you to measure their understanding and abilities. Keep up the good work. I'll be happy to help you or provide more sggestions if you wish.

Amal, you really put a lot of thought into your project. I agree with Esmeralda, you might want to clarify the objective statements. Writing clear objectives is a difficult skill to master.
ReplyDeleteI especially like that you plan to test your Web site on multiple computers. It is not a bad as it used to be, but different computers do still render Web pages differently depending upon their design and resolution.
