Session 7: e-Learning Delivery: Motivating students

In a handout to your students, describe your plan for the online discussion activity. Your handout should include the following:

The objective(s) of the activity should correspond to at least one of your course objectives.
I will have online discussion start from March 20 until March 23 before midnight.
State the course objective(s) to which the online discussion activity is responding.
The asynchronous environment that I will create technology tools like blog and E- mail and I will provide the two thing to my student my blog URl and Email to begin discussion .

Course Objective
1-Student will learn some of Arabic culture traditional dress for men and woman.
2-Student will learn some of Arabic traditional dress by using internet searching tools like Google
3-Student will learn to write critic on Arabic traditional dress by comment of the picture that I provide for them.

3. All students have to participate to the online discussion

try to choose one of the three links and write your comment about it
you have to writ why did you chose this link ?what do you think about the men and men dresses ?what did you like or dislike about the dresses? what did you learn from this experience?
Level one the words length from 200-400 and mad on march 21

At the end of the class discussion the student post there answer in there blog
6-Student will Send there blog URL to the instructor by e mail to review it before due date. i will respond to my student as soon I get there e mail.
7-Student will Comment on each other work to expand there knowledge.
8-Students will go over the grading rubric for online discussions to know how many point they are going to take if they implement good information in there assignment that related to the topic.
6. Level 2
The student will read the instructor comment ,other student comment on his work other student blog
Student will chare with three class mate his experience and his funding ?
What did he learned from this activity?
Word length 200-400 march 23 before midnight

Describe the procedure and logistics of the activity. Your handout should be very clear. After reading your handout, your students should know what to do in the online discussion activity.
Each Student will go over the schedule and the syllabus in the blackboard
The student will send all their question to the instructor by using e mail or call the instructor if they have any question or technical problem.

We will have online discussion meeting on Tuesday 3/21/2011 .the class will start from 2-4 pm. We are going to discuss some Arabic women and men traditional dress . So please make sure to be on time and prepare before participate in this class by log in to the link before begin our class. if you have any question please e mail me or ask before the class start so I can answer your question during the class time . We will communicate by writing a comment in each other blog , send e mail to each other and write in Skype writing par . At the beginning go to Blackboard-> Discussion Board ->online discussion at 2-4 pm.-> www.skype.com
1-at the beginning of the class I will take the attendance.
2-I will go over each point in the Arabic writing document
3-i will ask some question that relate to each point to some student.
Evaluation;
In order to get 10 point each student should be on time and try to answer all the question that I provide during the lecture

  1. Hi Amal, I have some questions before I am your student.

    Will our session be on Skype?

    Are you planning it for March 8, 2-4PM for 2 hours? I will have to arrange my schedule to participate at that time.

    Will you be teaching the lesson for that day? I am apprehensive about successfully communicating in Arabic without prior knowledge. The lesson sounds difficult to me, but I will do my best for you.

    Your level 1 response looks good, but your level 2 response seems to be about what "you" will do rather than what your "students" must do. Is the level 2 response "ask my student some question about the story and let student give topic to this story and try to make my student create an ending of this story?" From your good start blog I thought it was to respond to each other's blogs.
